Call for IBIS related patent disclosures: - None Call for opens: - None Review of previous meeting minutes: Minutes from the July 27, August 3, and August 10, 2021 meetings were reviewed. Mike LaBonte said he had started using his ibis.org email addresses to send to IBIS email lists, and there should be no list email issues going forward. Lance Wang moved to accept the minutes. Randy Wolff seconded. Without objection, the minutes were approved. ARs: - AR: Mike LaBonte to resend recent meeting minutes and check with postmaster on list issues Done. - AR: Mike LaBonte to build and post TSCHK2.0.1 to WIP folder Done. Also made public ahead of the IEEE EMC+SIPI summit. Randy Wolff had sent email. Old folders were deleted. TSCHK201 will be dropped from the agenda going forward. - AR: Mike LaBonte to write bug for IBISCHK pTerminal->eTYpe error Bob Ross had done this. NEW ITEMS: New parser bug reports: Bob Ross said 3 bug reports had been filed by the IBISCHK developer. One other bug was filed by Curtis Clark. Mike LaBonte showed the new bug reports. BUG219: - Mike suggested low priority. Bob Ross said it would be fixed regardless. BUG220: This had been reported by Atul Agarwal. Lance Wang and Bob Ross felt the description was not clear. Lance suggested changing "not checked" to "no error given". Bob agreed. Bob noticed a space missing from the title. Mike felt the severity should be moderate, not severe. Bob felt any specification violation should be severe. Mike said users might never know about this kind of error. Bob said [Interconnect Model Group] could be ambiguous, and different tools might choose different groups. Bob said it would have to be correct for EMD too. BUG221: This had been reported by Atul Agarwal. Mike LaBonte asked if "Parser Developer" should be replaced by the company name. Bob Ross said he would do that. Bob said no error was given when .ebd or .ims files were missing their main header keywords. He said the QA tests would be grouped to maintain our usual policy. Mike suggested High priority should mean an IBISCHK development would be initiated just for that bug. BUG222: This had been reported by Atul Agarwal. Bob Ross said names in [Electrical Board Description] and IMS names did not generate an error. He said part tables could reference component names with spaces, and [Component] also could have spaces in names. Randy Wolff said it was [EMD Part], and there was an equivalent for [Electrical Board Description]. Mike noted that it would not be possible to someday add a new column to [EMD Part], if the contents of the last column could have spaces. Bob said this was a specification violation, and the failure of the parser to catch it was serious. Mike suggested including specification page numbers in the description for such cases. AR: Bob Ross to update IBISCHK BUGs 219 through 222 IBISCHK710 development: Bob Ross said there had been some questions from the developer. Mike LaBonte noted that the developer had proposed using public domain code to detect circular file references, but Bob had said we should not do that. Randy Wolff said that was easy code to write. Bob said he had approved having only one level of file lookups, although IBIS allowed 6. Mike asked if there would be any limit on nesting level for reading included files. Bob said there would not. He noted that EMD parts could have circular references by name. Tabled topics (no discussion without motion): - BIRD181.2 - IBISCHK security fixes Bob Ross moved to adjourn. Randy Wolff seconded. Without objection the meeting ended. Meeting ended: 12:07 ET Next meeting August 24, 2021
